Medical Imaging

The Medical Imaging department of the Whitehorse General Hospital provides screening and diagnostic imaging services to in-patients and out-patients throughout the Yukon, northern British Columbia and parts of Alaska. The Medical Imaging department is completely digital and all images are transmitted and stored in our secure Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS). The dedicated staff in the Medical Imaging department work together to provide you with the following services:

  • General Radiography (x-ray)
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Ultrasound
  • Mammography (screening and diagnostic)
  • Fluoroscopy (special procedures)

Hours of Operation:

Regular Hours:
Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm

After Hours (x-ray and limited CT only):
Monday to Friday: 4:00pm - 11:00pm
Saturday, Sunday and Statutory Holidays: 11:00am-7:00pm

All hours not staffed are covered by an On Call Technologist and are reserved for emergency situations only.
