We provide services to all First Nations, Métis and Inuit patients who access the services of Whitehorse General Hospital.
How to Access our Services
Please Self Identify
The staff at the hospital registration desk will ask every patient if they would like to identify as having Aboriginal ancestry. This will ensure that all Aboriginal people have access to our programs. If you do not self identify but would like our services, please advise your nurse.
First Nation Elder’s Suite/Sleep room
There is a self-contained suite that may be available for use by First Nations families to allow them to have short term emergency accommodations when there are no other alternatives. There is also a sleep room located on the hospital ward that is available for use. Please contact us at 867-393-8758 for more information.
